Douglas C. DiRuggiero, PA

Douglas completed his Master’s degree in Health Science and graduated with honors from Duke University’s Physician Assistant Program. He practiced internal medicine for three years and has specialized in dermatology for over 15 years. Douglas has been awarded the Clinical Preceptor of the Year by the Emory University PA Program, the Community Clinical Teacher of the Year by the Family Medicine Residency Program at Floyd Hospital (the only PA to receive that honor), and the Humanitarian PA of the year for the state of Georgia. He loves to teach as evidenced by the conferences he has developed: Skin & Bones, Dermatology Boot Camp, A to Z Dermatology, Basic and Advanced Suturing Workshops, and most recently, Dermatopathology for the Dermatology PA. Douglas started the Georgia Dermatology PA Society, the first state dermatology group in the country and is now the President of the New York Society of Dermatology PAs. Douglas is presently with Mariwalla Dermatology located on the South Shore of Long Island.  His wife, Karen, and their three children are his most-prized possessions!
